Bored

If you haven't already been reading (and added her to your Google Reader), then you must! I am talking about Sarah from BritGal in the USA. I have mentioned her before on this post. Her posts are short, fun, interesting and has a little bit of everything thrown in.

Personally I am getting a little bored with blogging and because of this, I really am struggling to find things to write about today! I am finding some blogs to be a bit boring and same-same. I am so sorry if I am making you cringe by writing this!

I decided a few months ago it was time to make some changes on my own blog if I were to continue to enjoy it and the traffic to my blog has picked up significantly. Basically it came down to shorter posts and to clean up my 'look' (and change it around). I don't necessarily measure the success of my blog on how many comments I receive on each post, but more so on the traffic that comes past. Not all of my posts are worthy of comments. People like to whizz past, see what I have been up to and be on their way. I certainly don't have time to leave comments on every blog I visit (there are hundreds I visit weekly!). I do appreciate those that take the time to do so though!!

I still have a long way to go with my blog... improve my photography skills... but this is a start!

So I am venting my feelings today. Sorry to those that feel like I have aimed this at them. These are just my own opinions. So if you want to clean up your blog, get more people to look at it and become more involved with your blog I reckon less is more!

I am sometimes overwhelmed with all the fussy blogs too. I guess we are a bit alike. I like a clean nonfussy blog. I have a lot to learn about blogging as well. I guess we will all have fun learning together. lol!

Hi Katrina,
I hear what you are saying girl, I normally visit lots of blogs and my favourites are normally the ones with more pictures then words, depends on my mood as to whether I read the post, look at the pictures or even leave a comment.
Love reading what you have to say though.
Cheers Linda

Yep the golden rule is less is always more! Love the blog header btw just gorgeous! I'm more a visual person so I love the blogs with nice glossy photos, I find I skim through the text, bad I know. I'm liking the direction you're taking, keep up the fab work!

I guess everyone to their own! Be pretty funny if we all presented our blogs in the same way....Katrina I know what you're saying, I felt a bit agitated by the blogs a few weeks ago, I finally sorted things out in my mind and worked out my reasons and ways I liked to blog, I'm enjoying blogging again now, that's the main thing. I think the blogs are like a TV or Radio station, if you don't like a particular one don't visit it....I know for me I appreciate comments, but please never feel obliged to leave one. Very interesting hearing of so many bloggers feeling just as we are.
