SHOCK HORROR TODAY I AM WASHING

I just hate to wash! I absolutely hate it. I will do it under sufferance and tend to leave it for a day or two (or three) here and there! I think it's because it is so time consuming.

Sorting, into the machine, hanging out, drying, bringing it in, folding, ironing and putting away. Boy that even sounds worse when I am typing it!! If I could just washing it and put it out, then somehow it miraculously ended up back in the cupboards then I might (might!) just cope with it. With my three boys and a dirty husband I think I could wash all day most of the time! Luck I have a good sized laundry to hide it all in haha.

So yesterday, I decided I might give my laundry a bit of a spruce up. I bought a shelf, painted it and played around with some things to put on it. I love my laundry now!! I think I will head down to the shops tomorrow to buy a few more bits and pieces, but for now I think it's ok.

So today I AM WASHING....

We had a great weekend at my bro's 21st. I was very weary the next day! Too much to drink - but hey, I am allowed to let my hair down now and then!! It's hard work being a "yummy mummy" and trying to keep up with the 20 year olds ya know!

I am hoping to get a few more projects finished in the next few days, so I will be back with more pics soon.

21st

I am turning 21!!!

Nah... I wish! My bro is having his 21st this weekend and he lives an hour away with the rest of my family, so I am off to my parent's early tomorrow morning. Shall be lots of fun. I adore and love him lots as he has always been the baby of the family. I am saying a speech, so wish me luck!!

Tupperware & Motorbikes

Does anyone love Tupperware as much as I do?
I was unpacking the groceries this morning and everything comes out of it's boxes and into Tupperware. I thought I seriously have to take a photo of it (and I seriously need to get a life!). I do this every time I shop! Yes, I know most of you are rolling your eyes saying "Gee that is not normal, how does she find time, who could be bothered???". Well, I just can't help it haha. Oh, and yes my draws are very messy, but to keep my kids occupied while I get things done in the kitchen, I just open them up and let them go for it.

Below are a couple of pictures of my gorgeous little man, Cruise (who is 5) riding the motorbike. These were taken by my husband on the weekend. He is a real little boy and loves anything rough and dirty. He is obsessed with his Dad and I mean totally trying to be like him all the time. Isn't he precious? :)

I am off to have lunch with my lovely friend Ange. So I will blog more later as I seem to have lots to say lately! Isn't that always the way? Sometimes there is nothing interesting happening, then the next week you have lots on!

What things do you change?

Ok, so I am in the bathroom this morning straightening my hair and I think "what things does everyone else like to change often?". I like to change my hair a lot. Sometimes its curly, sometimes it's straight, sometimes it has pink in it, I wear it up, down... whatever!

Then that got me thinking about other things I like to change.
Apart from throwing things out all the time (don't like to hoard stuff), I like to change the look of my bedding all the time (and the kids), I like to rearrange my furniture lots and I like to swap rooms around.
I also 'try' to keep up with the fashions and trends (although I am a mum, so can't be too over the top! Haha) . So I guess I like to change my clothes a fair bit.

And my best girlfriends reading this will definitely think of more things I like to change I am sure!! What do you have to add to it Ange cos you know I love to change lots of things? LOL

So lovely bloggers out there, what things do you just love the change all the time?

Name Game

I have been tagged to play the Name Game by the lovely Alison.
Here are the rules: you must state the rules before you state the facts. The facts are to name one thing relevant to your life for each letter of your middle name. Spring has Sprung

Today is the first day of our Spring! What a great feeling!! I am sooo over Winter and am looking forward to getting out more with the nicer weather.

Here are some pics I took of two of my boys playing outside on the spare block next to our house. As you can see it is still cool outside this morning but the Sun is perfect! Also, look at how all the grass in the neighbourhood is dead! This is from our cold winters, devastating drought and huge water restrictions (as a result of the drought).

Then also while I was outside I thought I would spin around a snap a couple of photos of the front of my house.

Also, here is a photo of my not-so-nice skin cancer. Sorry if you have a weak stomach! Please wear sunscreen!!!

Thanks for all the lovely emails I have been receiving! I am feeling much better today, but have an ugly sore head (again!). Never mind, I will survive it haha!!

Very busy weekend ahead of me with Fathers Day, a 1 year old birthday and 30 people for lunch plus a heaps of kids for a party! Yikes I better get my skates on!!!

Just a short one today

I am having my skin cancer cut out tomorrow morning so today I have been busy to make up for the lost day. Got rid of a couple of kids this morning and tried to find a birthday present and Fathers Day present with no success of either! My baby is 1 on the weekend and being the 3rd boy there is not much he needs! I have also baked 4 cakes (am freezing them) as I am making a train cake for his birthday. Much easier to ice them the night before if they are partially frozen. Wish me luck!

Paint

Today I have been finishing some projects. Good therapy I say! I have painted this chair and have listed in my eBay store.

I also finished some letters for my nephews. I popped some white paint underneath then painted them in the colours of their rooms (Harro is short for Harrison) and rubbed them back. I think they look great!

Today I am loving these pictures for inspiration....

I really love this idea! How clever - 3 chairs nailed together to create an awesome bench seat!!

I loooove bedheads. This is so easy. Some old shutters and look!!

Ok, this one is definitely something i would have a go at. Tired of floppy pillows? Well here is your answer! So different, but i love it.

I just like the shabbiness of these treasures....

The screen in this picture caught my eye. I have made a couple of screens out of old doors. So very easy! One had a mirror in the center, and another I took the mirror out and put fabric in it's place. I will post pictures of them one day.
